Ameet Singh

Ameet is an economist, environmentalist, educator, and seasoned mountaineer. He hails from Pune but is frequently found in Delhi, as most of his legal battles to save trees, rivers, and mountains which start in Pune or Mumbai invariably reach the Supreme Court. As an environmental activist, Ameet has significantly influenced government policies through legal interventions, notably challenging the felling of trees for urban development projects in Pune. His efforts led the Bombay High Court to halt tree felling on Ganeshkhind Road in 2023.

He is pursuing a PhD at Symbiosis University and teaches economics to UG/ PG students. An accomplished mountaineer, Singh has scaled major peaks across continents, including Antarctica's Vinson Massif, and Nepal's Ama Dablam. He continues to balance his passions for teaching, environmental advocacy, and exploration.
